Synopsis

Both Endo and Moga stem from a modern reinterpretation of traditional materials, establishing a clear and legible contrast between the two distinct experiences. Endo, warm and serene, is conceived around the impressive yet lightweight presence of a pristine hinoki wood counter that speaks ancient stories through a traditional architectural language. Moga, by contrast, gravitates around a massive stone counter that sets a cool, vibrant mood beneath a parametrically shaped ceiling – composed of over 3,000 sake cups – signaling an emerging aesthetic vision. Endo’s spatial experience looks toward the past without nostalgia, while Moga looks ahead to a gentle and essentialist vision of the future.
